1. Chemical properties: Vitamin K3 usually exists in the form of menaquinone sodium bisulfate (MSB), with a molecular formula of C₁₁H₉NaO₅S·nH₂O. It appears as a white or ivory white crystalline powder and is water-soluble.

2. Physiological functions.

Vitamin K3 is an essential substance for the synthesis of factors II, VII, IX, and X in the liver, participating in the synthesis of prothrombin in the human body. It promotes the conversion of fibrinogen into fibrin during blood coagulation and has a unique hemostatic effect.

Vitamin K3 can also participate in the oxidation-reduction process within organizational cells and is a component of the cellular respiratory chain, involved in the transfer of electrons and oxidative phosphorylation processes in the respiratory chain.
